YEARLONG GRIEF VILLAGE
What happens when we keep coming back...
together?
In just two days, we’ve witnessed the profound healing and connective power of the Dagara ritual, a practice that helps us remember what it truly means to be in a village. Now, imagine deepening that experience: gathering with the same group four times over the course of a year, connecting through smaller, unfacilitated pods in between, and concluding with a fifth session—a retreat fully self-organized by the participants, where the shape of your village emerges naturally.

We’re ready to explore this together and see what unfolds. Join us for our first yearlong grieving cohort. More details will follow, but for now, here are the dates for our gatherings in Corbett, OR:

(we encourage you to stay an extra day after each session, Sunday, to rest)
-
sept 26+27, 2025 (session 1)
-
dec 5+6, 2025 (session 2)
-
feb 20+21, 2026 (session 3)
-
april 24+25, 2026 (session 4)
-
august 28-30, 2026 COHORT ORGANIZED - No facilitation or attendance by Laurence or ahlay (Session 5)***

***The final self-organized retreat invites your group to step fully into collective ownership, without facilitator involvement or external organization. It’s your chance to embody the village you’ve cultivated—collaboratively managing everything from planning and budgeting to meal prep and design. To simplify logistics, we’ve pre-scheduled the retreat dates so they’re seamlessly integrated into the program, allowing everyone to reserve the time upon registration. This retreat, held at the same venue as your previous sessions, will take place four months after our final facilitated session, giving you ample time to organize. You might consider forming a leadership team to guide the process and ensure everything runs smoothly.
